By investing in our machine shop capabilities, Vitesse has been able to offer better control, higher skilled services and turnaround times measured in days…not weeks. Our on-site Capabilities Analyst is dedicated to developing new major repairs and process specifications that are FAA approved.
Machine Shop Services include:
- Aerospace quality machining
- State of the art CNC V-50 Leadwell machining center
- FARO Arm Portable Coordinates measuring center
- Boeing Service License Agreement holder
- Specialized repair set-ups and processes coordinated directly with OEM or DER
- General metalwork: milling, turning, honing, and grinding
- Specialized repair parts and prototype work
- Shot peen and roto peen surface treatment
- Heat treat for stainless steel and aluminum alloys
- Stress relief process for high strength steel
- NDT/NDI:magnetic particle and dye penetrant
- Brush plating (SIFCO process)
- Metal finishing such as chrome, nickel and cadmium plating and anodizing
- Cleaning and painting to OEM specifications
